Clinical Dietitian – 0.70 FTE Term Position starting July /Aug 2022

Salem Home and Tabor Home are seeking applications for a 0.70 FTE Term   Clinical Dietitian position.

The position offered is part time 27 hours a week (Split between both locations) with scheduled days and hours/day on site being flexible. Salary Commensurate with experience.

The Clinical Dietitian will provide leadership in nutrition related care with Residents and their families to promote health, improve control or pre-existing problems or to avoid complications of those problems. The clinical dietitian is responsible for the provision of Resident nutrient assessments, recommendations for medical nutrition therapies, development of nutritional care plans, evaluation and follow up.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in Nutrition and Food Services or equivalent.

Dietetic Internship Certificate from an accredited program

Must be a registered member of Dietitians of Canada and Manitoba Association of Registered Dietitians.

One year clinical experience preferably in long term care.

An appreciation for the traditional Mennonite ethnic foods and culture.

Acceptable Pre-Employment Security Check is required

Demonstrated organizational and teaching skills

Interpersonal and problem solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good time management skills
