On Wednesday, May 24th, you can help us get one step closer to our Resident Room Refresh by enjoying a delicious McMenno Meal at Salem Home. It really is that simple, all you need to do is purchase your supper (which is by donation) and listen to some live music (and maybe bid on a few silent auction items)
The Salem Foundation Board together with Ladies Auxiliary are hosting a Summer BBQ Fundraising Supper at Salem Home in the tent outside. The event will feature musical guests The Janzen Boys (Featured below). The Janzen Boys are a rootsy, harmony-singing family trio from Winnipeg, Canada. We are bringing back our “Famous” McMenno Burger Meal. The meal includes your choice of
- a sausage burger/hot dog,
- baked beans,
- coleslaw,
- potato chips,
- our homemade Smarties cookies
- and a beverage.
Supper starts at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with the Janzen Boys starting at 5:15pm. Bring your lawn chair, your appetite and help us get one step closer to finishing our Resident Room Refresh Fundraising Project.
Not much of a McMenno Meal type of person? Stop by anyway and listen to some great music and bid on some of our silent auction items or participate in our raffle. Pictures and descriptions of these items will be posted here and on Instagram closer to the BBQ

The funds raised at the BBQ will go towards the purchase of new furniture for the residents. We are so blessed to be part of such wonderful community who show support for our residents and projects not covered by the government.
