“Armchair” Fundraiser for New Furniture
The COVID-19 pandemic has created challenging times for many people in the world, and in the Pembina Valley. We appreciate the efforts of our government, local health authority, and community all working together to do our part in limiting the spread of the virus in our community. As a result, the annual Faspa Fellowship & Song Fundraiser scheduled for April has been cancelled in order to comply with government regulations to protect the health and wellbeing of everyone.
While the Faspa fundraiser has been cancelled, Salem Foundation will continue its fundraising efforts that support Salem Home and its residents through an “Armchair” Fundraiser. What is an “Armchair” Fundraiser? It’s a fundraiser where you don’t need to leave the comfort of your home and favorite chair, to support the residents of Salem Home.
“Our goal is to continue to improve the lives of our residents with the new furniture for the next phase. Any help in these difficult times would be greatly appreciated,” says Arlen Hildebrand, Foundation Chair. “As the Salem Foundation, we are thankful for the community support which is an encouragement to the residents and their families.”
This year’s fundraising goal is to provide a bedside table and dresser for an additional 56 rooms at an approximate cost of $146,000. This fundraising campaign begins April 23 until May 29. Ways you can donate include cheque, credit card, or online at www.salemhome.ca. Cheques should be made payable to Salem Foundation and mailed to 165 15th Street, Winkler MB, R6W 1T8. Credit card payment can be made by contacting Salem Foundation at 204-325-4316 during regular office hours.
It is through the continued generosity of our community that we can provide Salem Home residents with the best possible lived experience.
